The perfect getaway.

Le Clos Castel is an idyllic spot in the Normandy countryside. The large, imposing stone farmhouse sits in over 5 acres with a large front garden for guests to enjoy. Our bedrooms are designed and finished to high-end hotel standards. Our characterful rooms are a mix of top quality modern beds and bedding whilst many of the furnishings retain the charm of older Normandy.

Our guests can relax and enjoy our guest lounge complete with french and english TV, Xbox and a comprehensive collection of games and blu-rays. All rooms are provided with complimentary coffee and tea making facilities. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.

Set in the Marais de Contentin regional park walking, cycling and bird watching are all within easy reach. The house has its own large front garden and outdoor seating for evening pic-nics, watching the sunset or star gazing in the clear night skies above.

Bedrooms:

All rooms are supplied with complimentary tea and coffee, toiletries and a hairdryer.

Bedroom 4 - ‘Gold’ Family room with Super-King bed which can be separated into twin singles, a separate single bed for the little one and ensuite shower room. Views to front.

The family room (Gold), contains a separate full-size single bed as well as the superking double. The room is furnished with traditional Normande / Breton furniture and features a (non-working) period marble fireplace. Younger guests will enjoy a place at the head of the table in our provided high chair and can be kept safe and sound with a child gate available on request.

All bath and hand towels will be provided for you.

Dining:

Le Clos Castel has a large dining room which will seat 10 in comfort and enjoys a double aspect view to the front and side gardens. It is brilliantly lit by the Normandy sunshine (usually!). A full continental breakfast is provided, with fresh bread and pastries (straight from the local boulangerie), yoghurts, cheese board, cold cuts and cereal provided daily . Please do let us know in advance if you have any specific dietary requirements and we will do our very best to accommodate your needs.

Living room:

The guest lounge is comfortably appointed with a sofa, armchairs, and a good selection of entertainment; blu-rays, tv, wi-fi, Xbox with games to enjoy and freeview satellite tv for English and French channels.

To ensure that everyone is kept happy and enjoys their stay at Le Clos Castel to its fullest there is also a wide range of books and board games for you to choose from.

Garden and outside:

The front of the property is landscaped with mature trees and shrubs and a large lawn. Our guests are welcome to walk around the campsite, use the la-boule court, picnic area and of course our new recreation room.

Parking and garages:

Le Clos Castel has plenty of parking space for up to 6 cars with other areas available on request (primarily for vintage vehicles or trailers). Please park considerately to others and we ask that you back up to the main house. Covered storage may be available for bicycles or motorbikes but please ask in advance to be certain of space.
